This big budget racing game is considered by many to be the best racing game on the Dreamcast. Players will race sports cars around accurately recreated city streets, earning Kudos points for stylish driving. The game was well received by both players and critics when launched and remains a stunning example of the power of the Dreamcast hardware.
Emulators tested
Demul 0.5.8.2 (DirectX 10) – Game is playable. There are some glitches on the cars (especially around the headlights). This can be at least partially fixed by deselecting the “Disable auto sort” option. When running the game with this emulator, the course map is not correctly drawn in the left hand side of the screen and this makes playing the game much harder.
Demul 0.5.8.2 (DirectX 11) – The game plays near perfectly, there are minor glitches on menus only. The “Disable auto sort” option must be off for best results.
Makaron T12.7 – Game is playable, course map is shown, but the game has multiple graphical glitches including weird shadows under the cars and some camera angles do not work.
Special configuration options
The “Disable auto sort” option must be off for best results.
