Not, as you might initially suspect, a game about flying military helicopters, BANG! Gunship Elite is actually a polished space combat simulator.
Emulators tested
Demul 0.5.8.2 (DirectX 10) – Saving does not appear to work, the game always says there isn’t enough space on the memory card. The game is otherwise quite playable but does have various graphical glitches especially around the exhaust of spacecraft.
Demul 0.5.8.2 (DirectX 11) – Significantly less glitches, though the surface of spacecraft can still appear strange. Large explosions can cause slowdown even on very fast PCs. Game saving still doesn’t work, use the emulators save-state feature to work around this.
Makaron T12.7 – Untested.
