Dreamcast port of the controversial PC first person shooter. Solder of Fortune is big on gore and shock as your weapons blow bloody chunks from the enemy. Strip away the gore and there’s still a playable little FPS title to be found here too. In the game you will travel around the world tracking down terrorists before they can get their hands on nuclear bombs.
Emulators tested
Demul 0.5.8.2 (DirectX 10) – Severe graphical issues including white dots and random black triangles over the image. Game is barely playable.
Demul 0.5.8.2 (DirectX 11) – Game runs well with no noticeable glitches.
Makaron T12.7 – Untested.
Special configuration options
Since the Dreamcast only has one analogue stick, the game maps movement to the four face buttons. You may find the game significantly easier to play by remapping these buttons to the right analogue stick on your modern game controller.
